So, today’s post will be a short one.  I’ve got some deadlines and I’ve got something awesome planned for tomorrow.  Which means this is just a few pictures that fit a theme.

So, background: while we were in Cuzco, me and Tom we really searching for things to do.  The one tour that everybody does is the Sacred Valley tour, which takes you to the big sites: Pisac, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo, and Chinchero.  Here is a map I found on some site:

Anyway, so that’s approximately the trip we made.  These first two pictures were taken at Ollantaytambo (which you can probably see is the second to last place because we traveled counter clockwise), but we got some of the best pictures in this place.  I’ll have to post about Chinchero, where they have a lot of local women who make their own yarn and knit. [Edit: I did finally do a post on Chinchero, which you can find here.]  It’s kinda cool,  but, another post.  So, without further ado, two pictures at Ollantaytambo.

This last picture is actually from the beginning of our tour, at Pisac.  They just let us wander around without giving us much direction.  Because of that, me and Tom definitely took the path less traveled by and went up the left side of the mountain instead of the right.  So we had quite an adventure sneaking through Incan ruins.  This was near the last part, where we decided the jump was manageable and took a chance.  This was Tom’s jump.  The woman behind him is an artist we found while making our backwards trip down the mountain.

That’s it for today, get ready tomorrow for some overwhelming cuteness in the form of a knit project I made recently.  L
